We are becoming more educated about where our clothes come from and are making informed decisions on where we choose to buy. Yay us! #Winning Eco-womenswear has evolved with us moving away from the hippyish look it used to be associated with to designs that incorporate new technologies, great fits and ways of thinking.
Over-consumption within fashion is another hot issue (guilty as charged). But there are amazing Innovative companies that help with this issue and offer services that are being considered, and garment leasing is on the up. We are embracing the idea of borrowing items for a small fee and updating our wardrobe without overcrowding it. Marie Kondo is be proud of us.
That said, wanted to list my three favorite brands that are working towards a sustainable future within the fashion industry
1. Indigenous Designs
Effortlessly chic and sustainble dresses in classic rich color created with non-toxic dyes
3. Stella McCartney is already recognized as an environmentally conscious business as well as an incredibly successful high-fashion brand – the perfect example of fashion and style being paramount to sustainability success
