EXPLORE OLVERA STREET

Olvera Street is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Los Angeles. The colorful Mexican marketplace has dozens of craft shops, restaurants and other businesses. Olvera Street also hosts numerous traditional events throughout the year, including the Blessing of the Animals (Saturday before Easter), Cinco de Mayo, Fiestas Patrias (Mexican Independence Day), Dia de los Muertos (Oct. 25 - Nov. 2), and Las Posadas (Dec. 16-24).

​Here you truly feel like you are back in Mexico, you hear Mariachis with their big guitars, people singing and performing, as well as the aroma of churros and fresh tortillas. 

We only went for a couple of hours and ate everything that was in out sight. We first arrived and enjoyed a show while we were eating spicy fruit. Then later on we kept on walking and shopped some of the amazing made in Mexico items. Then later on we had lunch at El Paseo Inn. Here we had delicious Mexican fun such as: guacamole, salsa, beans, rice, fajitas and of course some tequila drinks.

After that we got some churros filled with caramel which were A M A Z I N G. 

Definitely recommend this place for a little afternoon visit. ​
